# Quiz Night Pack

## What is free (in the browser, no account)

- The plan: a sport, a format (multiple choice, true or false, fill the blank), a question count and a level (easy,
  medium, hard, mixed) for each of 1-6 rounds, rotated automatically or set round by round; a running order with
  timings; maximum points, with an optional double-points final round.
- Every sheet laid out from the plan and printable at once (A4 or US Letter): cover, team answer sheets (A-D and T/F
  boxes), score sheet with per-round maxima, and the host key and handouts with blanks where the questions go.
- Downloads: a script-free printable HTML file of the selected sheets, a Markdown host script, an SVG answer sheet and
  an SVG score sheet (drawn by the page, no library).
- Multiple-choice letters are shuffled in the browser with a seed; "Reshuffle A-D" changes them on the key and the
  handouts together without another run.
- Three samples with saved model replies replay the full flow at no cost.

## What is paid (metered, gpt-terra, signed-in)

- `task: "pack"` writes every question for the plan: question, four options (multiple choice), answer, a one-sentence
  explanation, a fun fact, difficulty and era labels, and a sure/check confidence flag; a closest-number tie-breaker;
  a fact-check list; host notes.
- `task: "swap"` replaces the questions the host marked on the key (too hard, too easy, unsure, too like another), at
  an adjusted level, without repeating any question staying in the pack. The replacements are merged into the pack.

## Checks on every reply

The same rounds in the same order with the planned sport, format and count; four distinct options with the answer
among them exactly once; True/False answers and not all one way in a round; exactly one ____ blank per fill-in; no
answer given away in its own question; no question asked twice (including against the questions staying, in a swap);
years inside the chosen era and none in the future; nothing from the avoid list; difficulty labels on target; every
"check" question listed for fact-checking; a numeric tie-breaker exactly when one was planned.

- Run input: one JSON object of scalar fields - task, title, audience, region, difficulty, era, avoid, plan (a JSON
  string of the rounds), and for a swap also swap and existing (JSON strings). The reply is one JSON object.
- The page's own logic runs under Node: quizkit.js (plan, sheets, exports) and recon.js (parse, checks, merge).

## Limits

Questions are written by a model. The page cannot verify facts against a source: it flags what the model marked
"check" and the structural problems above; the host should check flagged answers before the night.
